Can't log my char but others can.

Hi everyone, hope you're fine.

I don't know if it's the right place to write this down.

Since few months i got real issues logging in with several characters without no apparent reason.
The worst case is my Necro (Damepitou) which comes back at server select every time i try to log in. I asked a friend of mine to try to log in and he had no problem logging in from his pc.

Is there anyone here able to help me handle this plz ? Can't find a solution.

PS : I also have a character that suddenly went unable to log in with projetcteq in the eqhost file. He's only able to make it with eqemulator. There again, without any reason

I might add that every logging attempt is made manually, without MQ2 or anything else.

 

I somehow managed to log in (seems like if i first log on another character before login this char, it works). and then got a crash at any zoning attempt.

At the character select button check the box to reset your UI. See if it makes a difference.

I asked him, he told me it's not fixed. we tried a lot of things (new install, etc) it's really weird.

I tried to reset the UI using by checking the box but it didn't do anything. I must add that, sometimes, i'm able to log the char and if i zone, it crashjes instantly to the server select.

Just moved the char to Nexus 1 minute ago and... unable to log in. Back to the server select...

Really can't understand what's going on. It's the only character that has this issue, and when someone else logs it, it works perfectly.

 

Yes i can log Ypok, the second char i created just to see if it works. I can log this one every time without any problem at all !

Never tried to log them both at the same time.

 

The last time I remember seeing this was when a character had a huge inventory and the player's ISP was throttling or capping data transfers (remember, UDP packets are lossy...)

If you are streaming or doing anything else in the background that ties up bandwidth - including sharing your internet connection with others, I would try temporarily eliminating those extra expenditures and see if you can get in.

In any case, I would make cleaning your inventory a priority on any successful login - or, maybe login from a friend's ISP to do this.

Indeed, i ve already heard that and made some space in my bags. It could have been that considering the fact that it's the only of my 42 chars that has such an issue.

The last time i managed to log on, i realize that every time i zoned, i crashed. If i'm just staying in PoK or any other zone, it stays logged in normally.

So i think you're right, there might be something while loading. Gonna try to make a good clean in the bags if i can log it in.
