Is there a list of Halloween events somewhere? I saw on the forum they're active but I've never happened to be playing around Halloween to do the quests

    Here's Allakhazam's list
    https://everquest.allakhazam.com/wiki/EQ:Halloween
But we don't have all of them implemented. Definitely not any monster mission type ones or the Bone Mask of Horror quest. The rewards are not necessarily the same as on alla's site.
There is also a custom quest: the Rat finding quest in PoK (they don't look like rats in PoK because of the zonewide illusions) - near Main Bank
If you get a Bristlebane's Ticket of Admission you can turn it in to Dieter (Druid guild master) Near the main bank for a possible reward or something worthless... Pocket Lint, Sand, Potions of Group Exp, Illusion Clickies, Golden Ticket (to turn in, in Shadow Haven Casino for a prize), or just Stat Candy.

There are 2 vendors near the PoK main bank that give away stat candy, fireworks or costumes for free (40 HP or 40 M/E or other stats if I remember right) You could grab stacks and stacks of it and fill up your bank I suppose.
Food and Drink don't effect stats if you don't eat, however if you are hungry you will eat/drink the top slot in your inventory. You can manually eat to avoid this for a certain time period. The AA at level 50 that will slow down how fast and how much food you eat. However being on a mount or having a pet will eat more of your food. Also you don't consume any food/drink in the bazaar. Also there is a great list of Food/Drink durations (1 unit equals 144 seconds, when consumed automatically.
Example, rations (15) have a duration of
    15 x 144 sec = 2160 sec = 36 min
    https://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/forum/tradeskills/baking/5421-food-and-drink-durations
Keep in mind there are modifiers to this time. Race, location, Pet/mount etc.

(Correct me if I'm wrong on any of these)
    Rough PEQ Halloween list:
    Find the Black Cat
    Great Zombie Attack
    The Hungry Halfling
    Making Candy Apples
Lycanthrope's Cure - not sure on this one
    Missing Costume Pieces
    Monster Mash
    Toadstool Surprise
Trick or Treat for the Old Man

Edit - There is an event also in Misty Thicket

Additionally, There are Mobs that spawn specific to Halloween in Kithicor and Unrest. Killing all of them results in some drops/rewards.

I recommend doing the Toadstool Surprise task first. It's easy, quick (should take about 2 to 3 minutes to complete) and you get a regen familiar pet as a reward as well as a BToA(ticket).

There maybe more, feel free to post them.

Thank you! I'll try to do some of these...when I get a chance. I'll try to keep the weekend of the 26th-27th clear for some playing

Alright, so I did Toadstool Surprise on my 24 box; took about 1 hour; corpses kept going unlootable until I relogged, which was a bit odd? I got some 6 random illusion items (Glass of Water, Imp Wings, Second Breath, Sack of Clay) and 2 rez items (Pulsing Goo, on cleric and SK). If I don't particularly care about illusions, stat food, or the occasional rez goo, is there any reason to bother with the rest of the tasks? Do any of the tasks give anything interesting?

some tasks give stat candy (usually the easier ones). quite a few have tickets of admission which can turn in for illusions, more candy, maybe a gold ticket for the casino. The event in Kith can drop a wt reduction bag and sometimes a fast mount. There's no quest, just kill Casper the ghost to start, every 6 minutes a more difficult mob spawns with adds, kill them all to get The great pumpkin which drops the loot. Event resets after about an hour to 90 minutes or so (there's a zone wide shout about it). Not sure on Misty thicket event.
