Suggestion: remove min skill 200 for Ikkinz 4 research combine

You're misreading the https://www.projecteq.net/edit/index.php?editor=tradeskill&ts=58&rec=10896. Indicates the combine will work in all 4 original research containers, plus the new one that isn't in PEQ.

 

Tibbs, your tripping yourself up by using current "Live" eq sources for your posts. Alla does not post details for quests on PEQ. They consider our versions of quests to be outdated and are removed or updated. Unless you're using the wayback machine archive on Alla to search for stuff, Alla isn't a very good guide for us. Both the Wizzy 1.5 pre quest and the Ikky 4 combine were around way before the research got redone with the POR expansion

 

Except that Lucy pulls on eqemu happened after the revamp, so someone would have to manually update them to be era correct.

Smish, have you tried using an old word research kit? I only ask because I linked https://www.projecteq.net/edit/index.php?editor=tradeskill&ts=58&rec=571 to show that Lexicon/etc. are explicitly listed on recipes that use them, so I dont think I'm misreading the ikk4 combine

 

Oooh ya got me. I have not tried yet, I haven't really started GoD progression yet. But I do see your point in the database.

 

Finally got 200 research skill and it DOES work in lexicon, so no worries there!



I'll probably write up a mini guide for what I think is the quickest route to 200 for research, but TL;DR - PBAE thedeep to get to 182 on any int caster, and mage is probably the fastest beyond that with scars of sigil triv at 196. from there you can either finish the grind to 200 or get a geerlok automated quill or thought horror scalp for +5% research. (if you're gonna go wiz like i did, pillar of lightning for 196 triv was fairly easy. rune of gale drops off some mobs in plane of mischief with a high rate, and you'll have tons of leftover runes of alternation from thedeep)
